Through magic and story, this spellbinding show features classic magic effects along with other timeless conjuring and how Houdin transformed magic from a pastime for the lower classes, seen at fairs, to entertainment for the wealthy, which he offered in a theatre in Paris 1845 , a legacy preserved by the tradition of modern magicians performing in tails.
